DESCRIPTION: Dennison, Howard and Davis, Waltham, Mass., silver cased pocket watch, serial #4454, 18 size, 11 jewels, key wind and set gilt plate movement with lever escapement in a silver, hinged back and bezel, engine turned and engraved open face case with Roman numeral white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, serial #4454, c1857.
CONDITION: CASE: Shallow dents and dings; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches on cuvette; Engine turning worn smooth; Rear cover snap worn; Bow replaced. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel. HANDS: Replaced; Oxidation, minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Bright work with scattered specks of oxide; Losses to gilding; Case screw replaced; Balance endstone setting abraded; Barrel bridge screw with losses to blue; Dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), needs service.
